7 Days Amboseli Wildlife Tour | Lake Nakuru Ornithological Trip | Masai Mara Wildlife Adventure

Day 1: ARRIVAL
Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be met by Red Carpet 786 Tours & Travel and Travel Representative and transferred to your Nairobi city hotel. Nairobi has several hotels of international standard and numerous restaurants; with all manner of ethnic and European cuisine available. Three excellent museums, offer

insight into the fauna, culture and history of Kenya. Afternoon at leisure and acclimatize with your new surroundings or explore the area by participating on the many available excursions before your overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: NAIROBI - AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Depart after breakfast to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for lunch at your lodge. Following afternoon tea, you will be escorted on a walk by Maasai warriors to a village to get an insight into their fascinating culture and way of life. Then take a game drive in the conservancy followed by a sundowner at a scenic spot overlooking Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at Amboseli Serena Lodge or equivalent .

Day 3: AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK
Awake to the noisy calls of the birds. After an early breakfast, drive through the bush on our private track into Amboseli National Park, for a full morning of game viewing. If weather permits, you will have a clear view of the peaks of Mount Kilimanjaro.  In the evening you will go on another game drive in this park which is renowned for its elephants, which may be seen in herds over 100 strong drinking from the surface springs. Also happily roaming the grasslands are buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, giraffes, impala and warthog. All meals and Overnight stay at Amboseli Serena Lodge or equivalent .

Day 4: AMBOSELI - LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast in the lodge then drive via Nairobi for lunch to Lake Nakuru. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. After a short rest depart for an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park before continuing to the lodge.

Lake Nakuru Lodge is situated in the heart of one of Kenya's most densely populated wetland National Parks, (Ramsar site) only two leisurely hours' drive from Nairobi, through beautiful forested uplands and passing a series of lakes. On the outskirts of the bustling market town of Nakuru lies a truly remarkable national park which has achieved international fame. Both black and white rhino are being given a new lease of life in this fully-fenced park - and they are carefully protected. The present rhino population is over 50 and continuing to multiply. The Roths childs giraffe is another rarity and the park has its fair share of buffalo, leopard, zebra, eland, waterbuck and lion. Lake Nakuru Lodge is in the south-east ecological niche of the park, with commanding views of the lake and the flamingos for which it is justly famous. There is also a Rhino Sanctuary in the Park where you will see the black and white rhinos. Lush gardens surround the lodge and cottages. There is a good programme of activities and evening entertainment.

Day 5 LAKE NAKURU - MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Leaving Lake Nakuru after breakfast, you'll travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Valley Escarpment as you head across the Valley to Narok, and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara and your lodge in time for lunch. There will be an afternoon game drive.

Day 6 MASAI MARA GAME RESERVE
Whole day spent in Mara with early morning and afternoon game drives. Today you can have an optional balloon safaris or a visit to Masai Village (Manyatta).
Dinner and Overnight stay at Mara Simba Lodge or equivalent
Mara Simba Lodge was conceived, not just as an overnight stop, but as a safari resort and lodge on the edge of the Masai Mara. The emphasis is on exclusivity, comfort and the ambiance is Masai, with the decor incorporating both decorative and design elements from the culture of this tribe. The grounds of the lodge extend almost a kilometer along the Talek River, and built in blocks with 4 comfortable rooms in each. The river bank is left in its virgin state, while further back lush landscaped gardens of indigenous plants and trees attract colourful birds and butterflies. Wide, well-lit pathways link guest rooms and the public areas where beautiful wooden floors are shaded by soaring makuti roofs (palm thatch). The dining room and bar have stone fireplaces where roaring fires are lit on chilly evenings

Day 7: MASAI MARA -NAIROBI
Depart after breakfast with morning game drive enroute to Nairobi arriving in time for lunch on own arrangements. On arrival transfer to your Nairobi city center hotel or to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for return flight home.
